As a developer my goal is to convert your website design into a living, breathing, functional masterpiece on the ever changing web.
Experience:
I have been working with the web since 2005 and after completing a general BSc. in Computer Science I focused my continued development solely with web-based technologies. I took night-classes to learn Photoshop and continued to expand my knowledge of HTML, CSS and ActionScript. Later and out of personal interest I began working with PHP and examining it’s capabilities.
I began my career in late 2007 with Filemobile where I developed numerous projects using ActionScript 3, Flash remoting, Wowza Media Server and Filemobile’s proprietary CMS, Media Factory. In August of 2008 I began to work as a Junior Project Manager and I while in that position I worked with clients such as Canadian Living, Royal LePage, Sunlife Financial and Colgate Palmolive to implement projects from conception through to launch.
I used my experiences at Filemobile to successfully transition from a full-time employee to a freelance developer in the winter of 2010. As a freelance developer I gained an appreciation for different aspects of the industry and furthered my knowledge of PHP, WordPress and the Modx development platforms.
Through chance I was contacted by my current employer in May of 2010 and when given an opportunity to join the amazing team at Parlay Entertainment, I simply couldn’t say no. Since starting at Parlay my focus has been solely on development with PHP and the CodeIgniter PHP framework.
